Habitat: Bahupatra is found in India and Sri Lanka.

Description: Bahupatra is an erect, small annual herb that grows up to 40 cm in height. The herb bears numerous flowers which are yellow in colour.

Uses: Bahupatra has deobstruent, astringent and diuretic properties. The herb is used to cure dropsy, gonorrhoea, menorrhagia and other genitourinary infections. The herb is effective in curing dyspepsia, diabetes, ulcers, ophthalmia and chronic dysentery also. Its leaves are used in skin problems.
