Habitat: Caner root is found in North America.

Description: Caner root is an herbaceous red coloured plant which can grow up to a height of 6-20 inches. It possesses a scaly, tuberous root and a branching, slender, leafless stem. Its flowers are irregular in shape, up to 1cm long and reddish, brown or yellowish in colour. The flowers bloom in August to October.

Uses: Caner root has astringent properties. It is used externally for healing wounds, bruises, cuts and skin irritation.
